The Kootenay Toque

This is a very good beginners hat and a great weekend knit. When I want to know 'how a yarn will work up' I knit this toque as my swatch. The Kootenay Toque is knit in the round from the top down ending with a K2, P2 rib see the variations section for other bottom band ideas.

The pattern is written for the following stitch gauges: 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, and 6 sts. 2.5cm/1in.
